Since starting his practice in 1981, Dr. William Berg has developed one of the most advanced practices of Implant, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Dentistry on Long Island. Dr. Berg is one of a select few Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry in New York State. The Mastership is the highest award that a general dentist can achieve from the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Berg graduated from the State University of New York School of Dental Medicine at Stonybrook with a general practice residency at Queens Hospital Center/ LIJ, from 1978-1979. Since his graduation from that residency Dr. Berg has continued his education. He was awarded a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1988 after the completion of 500 hours of continued education and the successful passing of the fellowship examination. Since that time he has worked towards the mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. This requires the completion of 200 hours of lectures and courses and 400 hours hands on participation courses and case presentations as outlined by the Academy. The Academy's goal is to create a well rounded and capable doctor who has abilities in many areas of dentistry, rather then a doctor with a narrow focus. Dr. Berg achieved the Mastership in the Academy and received the Mastership Award at the Annual meeting of the Academy of General Dentistry in Denver, Colorado in August of 2006.

Dr. Berg and his family reside in Northport. He is very involved in his community and is an active member of the Northport Rotary Club.

Dr. Berg is also a member of:

•American Dental Association
•Academy of General Dentistry
•New York State Dental Society
•Suffolk County Dental Society
